Skull Tube Scarf

I almost forgot a whiloe back when I first thought of the tube sock idea that it would be cool to make one with half a skull printed on it. i've seen similar done to bandanas before, but never on a scarf. It should look great when pulled up around the face :)

I just have to get round to making the screen. So many screens, so little time...!

The Call of Cthulhu

Inspired by reading H.P Lovecraft short stories i've decided to design a shirt based on the Cthulhu mythos. Its going to feature a bat winged octopus as a loose representation of everyones favourite elder god. Its also a bit of an homage to Max Ernst my favorite Surrealist artist and is done in a collage style similar to some of his art. The print will be in the bottom right hand corner of the shirt.

Black Anatomical Heart shirt

A black shirt featuring a white print of a human heart in an anotomical style. Its placed right about where your heart should be!

Just finished a print of the first heart t shirt. it uses the same screen as the 'I heart Dance Macabre' shirt.
This one is in white on a black shirt but in future i'm going to print them in dark red on a white or sand coloured shirt...

Etsy store now open!

Etsy is a fantastic website, its similar to ebay but its only for handmade and vintage clothing and accessories.
I've opened a small shop on there to sell my hand printed t shirts and scarves to a different audience.

I heart Dm!

Just finished the design for a promotional shirt print. I've decided to include the web address into this design to attract a bit of buzz :)

The design is based on the popular I heart NY design, however in this case i'm using an anotomical woodcut of a human heart!

I'll post some shots of the finished article once the screen is burned, I think this one is going to get done before my repeating skulls....

Skulls, skulls and more skulls

I'm in the process of testing a new design - it's a pattern of repeating skulls. The idea is that I can use one large background and print overall patterns (in white) onto small black objects such as skinny ties, iphone covers, wallets etc.

I've already burned the image to a screen and test printed a tie. However the print didnt turn out so great. After a bit of logical thinking I discovered that i would have to invert the colours in order to get the print to be the same as the one pictured.

I'll post some shots of some finished prints once the screen is burned :)

Tube scarf!

I've printed the first tube scarf ready for winter!its made of the same stretchy fleece material as the normal scarf and holds the print really well. Its always a gamble printing onto new fabrics but its paid off!
cant hekp rthinking i look like a highwayman in the shot though...stand and deliver! lol

as asda would say... Whoops!

Just added the Whoops! section to the website as well. There you can find a few of my printing errors at bargain prices. It would be a shame to throw away perfectly good shirts because of a few little imperfections.

The Dance Macabre store is now open!!!

Soooo excited, my domain name transfer has finally gone through and the store is now officially open!
I just need to harness the power of online marketing to let everyone know of its existance...

The first scarf is printed!

Just finished the first scarf print and its ready for sale in the shop!

Its a black fleece scarf with 2x white prints of the barbed wire/praying skeletons device.

The next style that i will be printing will be a tube scarf, its a lot more elastic than this one so it will be interesting to see how the ink behaves!

25mm Badge sets & Badges now finished!

Just finished the designs for the Badges!
In total there are 10 seperate 25mm badges and 6 badge sets.

One badge set is a bit special and creates an the optical illusion of an impossible triangle when all 3 badges are placed together.

Just waiting on EKM to transfer my domain name over and then the shop will be active!
